Hey friends and fans—Chloe here and I have some very exciting news to share.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE! I’ve been promoted from Business Energetix Management Muse to wizard and my new title is MizBizWiz. The perks of the position include the wizard hat you see here. Cool, huh?
Just like other companies operating in this global recession, Business Energetix has learned that we need to get the most we possibly can from each contributor. So, we evaluated what we each do best and how we could work more with our natural talents. My talent lies in observing, experiencing and relating lessons about management and teamwork so it just made sense that I would take over the job of offering lessons on the topic.
In evaluating how to use our resources most effectively we asked the question, “If we were starting this company today, with the added benefit of everything we’ve learned to date, how would we do it?” It’s usually easier to keep doing what you’ve always done rather than looking at the possibilities for innovating and improving. In this case, easier is not better and it may in fact be much worse. The companies that will survive and thrive in this economic cycle and the next are the ones who stop repeating the past and start designing new approaches to the new reality.
Looking at our company with fresh eyes made me think about the question of talent. If we saw everyone as a talent ready to be used beneficially, what new opportunities would we see?
Take it from MizBizWiz—it is time to take a fresh look at the talent you have and how it is being used. Which talents are you under-utilizing? What could be better if you used the talents in your pool?

Hi Chloe -- Thanks for the timely perspective on this topic! I am just passing 9 years in business and have been reviewing what I want to have in place by this time next year when I expect to be in celebration of the 10-year mark. I am shifting my focus to include your great question: If I was starting this business today, knowing what I know now, how would I do it?
I'll keep you posted! Looking forward to more MizBizWhiz-isms!
